Question

I need help with my chase credit card account. It wasn't syncing and I couldn't figure out how to fix it so I added it again and I'm afraid I duplicated some transactions

Hi @minimacaronsbout,

You can exclude these online bank transactions if you're sure they are duplicates.

I suggest you download your bank's statement for the date range you want to check in your bank account register. This way, you have a reference on your actual bank transactions, and can tell if a transaction in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a duplicate.

When ready, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Transactions tab.
  2. Select the correct bank account.
  3. Move to the For Review tab.
  4. Tick the box for each transaction that you confirm is a duplicate.
  5. You can hit Exclude at this point.

See this article for more information: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online

To ensure that your QBO bank balance agrees to your actual bank balance, I suggest you reconcile your bank accounts, at least once a month. See this article for the steps: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Tag me in a post below if you have other concerns about your online bank transactions in QBO. I'll be sure to get back to you.
