I am now able to connect my bank account electronically, but how do I connect it to the account I have been using?

Hello @sevensalon,

Thank you for dropping by here in the Community. I'd be glad to assist you with linking bank accounts in QuickBooks Online.

When you upload transactions manually, your bank will show as File Upload Account in the chart of accounts. I recommend marking the Disconnect This Account On Save box and hitting Save and Close to change the connection (see screenshot below).

The only way to connect it to the existing account is by following the connection procedure in bank feeds. During the process, the system will allow you to match it with the one you have in QuickBooks.

If you select a different bank or create a new one, it'll not connect to your existing account. For the detailed instructions, I recommend following the steps in this article (make sure to follow step 7 to connect both accounts successfully): Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

If both accounts aren't connected, you can undo the process and follow the step-by-step instructions in the article above. You can use this link to learn how to disconnect previously connected banks to online banking: Disconnect or delete accounts connected to online banking.

Additionally, I recommend visiting the following article to fix bank errors you encounter when downloading new transactions in QuickBooks: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Please know that I'm just a post away if you have any other questions related to banking or linking accounts. Take care.
