I'm here to walk you through the process of creating a journal entry, RLBaeb76_.

Before proceeding, please ensure you're on Accountant View, so you'll be able to create a journal entry.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings under Your Company
  3. Go to Advanced from the left menu.
  4. Click User View
  5. Choose Accountant view from the drop-down.
  6. Select Save, then Done

After that, you can now create the transaction. Here's how:

  1. Select + New.
  2. Select Journal entry.
  3. On the first line, select an account from the Account field.
  4. On the next line, select the other account you're moving money to or from.
  5. Check the amounts.
  6. Once done, click on Save and close.

For detailed steps, check out this article: Create Journal Entries

I recommend consulting an accountant. This way, you'll be guided on which correct posting account to use. If you don't have any, click here to find one.

Additionally, you can always run the Journal report from the Reports menu. This lets you view all your journal entries created within a specific period. For the detailed steps, please see this article: Journal Entry Report.
