You can use a 3rd party tool to convert your bank statement in CSV format to QBO and then import it.
I want to make sure your older transactions are imported to QuickBooks Online, atarsio23.
You need to follow the CSV format required by QuickBooks when importing bank transactions. QBO only accepts 3-column or 4-column format for the CSV file. Please use this article as your guide: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
Once you have the file ready, here's how to import your bank transactions.
- Go to Banking from the left menu, then Banking.
- Select your bank where you want to upload the transactions.
- Click the Link account ▼ drop-down, then Upload from file.
- Select Drag and drop or select files, then select Continue.
- From the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down, select the account you want to upload the transactions into, then Continue.
- Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then Continue.
- Select the transactions you would like to import, then Continue.
- Click Yes.
- When you accept your transactions, select Done.
Once your bank transactions are on the For review tab, you need to match and categorize them.
If you need a deeper assistance about the steps, you can contact our QuickBooks Live Team from M-F 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM PT. They can do screen sharing with you in a secure environment.
