You can use a 3rd party tool to convert your bank statement in CSV format to QBO and then import it.

I want to make sure your older transactions are imported to QuickBooks Online, atarsio23.

You need to follow the CSV format required by QuickBooks when importing bank transactions. QBO only accepts 3-column or 4-column format for the CSV file. Please use this article as your guide: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

Once you have the file ready, here's how to import your bank transactions.

  1. Go to Banking from the left menu, then Banking.
  2. Select your bank where you want to upload the transactions.
  3. Click the Link account drop-down, then Upload from file.
  4. Select Drag and drop or select files, then select Continue.
  5. From the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down, select the account you want to upload the transactions into,  then Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then Continue.
  7. Select the transactions you would like to import, then Continue.
  8. Click Yes.
  9. When you accept your transactions, select Done.

Once your bank transactions are on the For review tab, you need to match and categorize them.

If you need a deeper assistance about the steps, you can contact our QuickBooks Live Team from M-F 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM PT. They can do screen sharing with you in a secure environment.

Get back to me if there's anything else you need by commenting below. I'll be around to guide you in uploading your older bank transactions.

None of this is accurate.

What is not accurate? What types of data have you prepared for import?
