It's nice to see you here in the Community forum, @dadl. Let me give you some details regarding the Undo reconciliation option. That way, you can reconcile your accounts seamlessly.

In QuickBooks, the Undo button in the Action column is only available in QuickBooks Online Accountant. If your accountant uses this version, you can let them undo the reconciliation on your behalf.

They have a tool that allows them to undo the entire reconciliation. If you don't have one, we can use our Find-an-Accountant tool to look for an expert near you. Once the accountant accepts the invite, they can start undoing the reconciliation.

If you prefer to do it by yourself, you need to manually edit each transaction to undo the reconciliation.

Here's how:

1. Go back to the Gear icon at the top, then pick Chart of Accounts under Your Company column.

2. Locate the appropriate account for the transaction and select View Register in the Action column.

3. Identify the transaction to edit.

4. In the reconcile status column (indicated by a checkmark), repeatedly click the top line of the transaction to change the status, then Save.

  • - Cleared.
  • - Reconciled.
  • Blank - Not cleared or reconciled.

    Reconcile
