Question

I processed a payment yesterday through Quickbooks Payments-Bank. It is not showing in the Deposits window. It is showing under "View payment." Where is the money?

Hi there.

It's great to see you here in the Community. I'll share some information to help you resolve the issue with a deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To start, if you're a new QuickBooks Payments user, your initial payments will be deposited within five business days. Although deposits may take a bit longer initially, once your account is set up, deposits will be much faster.

To identify the cause of the delay, I suggest checking the status of the payment transactions. Follow these steps to check in QuickBooks Online:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to Sales and select Deposits.
  3. Click the bank deposit you want to review.

In your Merchant Service Center, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Merchant Service Center portal.
  2. Choose Deposits in the Activity and Reports section.
  3. Click the date range in the Dates field.
  4. Select Search.

If a deposit encounters an issue, you will see Withheld in the Status column. To resolve this, you will receive an email from us with instructions.

If you've confirmed the payment status and we have deposited the funds, your money is on its way. Please know that some banks may conduct a review of the funds after deposit. In these instances, you can contact your bank and follow their procedures.

For more information about delayed deposits, you can refer to the following articles: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

Furthermore, I've included this resource to learn what to do if a customer's payment is on hold: Why are my funds on hold?

Please feel free to ask questions or concerns about the deposit process for QuickBooks payments. We're always here to help you. Stay safe.
