Question

I recently changed bank accounts, and now all of my old transactions are missing, even though I didn't remove the connection from QB.How do I retrieve these transactions?

I'll help you retrieve your bank transactions back, @wendi1723.

When changing a bank account in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), make sure to categorize the transactions the next time downloading them from your bank.

Please remember that changing/disconnecting the automatic online banking updates will delete any transactions in the Transactions tab.

To get your transactions back to QuickBooks, you'll need assistance from your financial institution to ask for a copy of your prior bank transactions. That way, you can get this uploaded manually to QBSE.

Once you have the copy already, you may upload them by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Profile ⚙ icon and select Imports.
  2. Select Import transactions
  3. Browse the transactions that you need to import.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  5. Select on Import.
