The expenses listed are skipping over several months.  Should I reboot or continue to refresh screen?

Hello there, CNS3.

When reconnecting a bank to QuickBooks, you can upload transactions up to a certain date. With that in mind, you have the option to import the missing expenses by uploading a CSV file instead of rebooting your bank connection. Let me walk you through in accomplishing this process.

To get started, please determine the oldest transaction in your account and select a start date to avoid duplicates. Once done, log in to your bank’s website and download the CSV file of your transactions.

Next, ensure that the CSV file you've downloaded from your bank has the correct format before uploading it to QuickBooks. This will help you avoid any errors during the import process.

Once everything is ready, you can follow the steps below to manually upload your transactions to QuickBooks:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Transactions, then Bank transaction.
  3. Click the Link account dropdown, then select Upload from file.
  4. Head to the Manually upload your transactions tile, then click Drag and drop or select files and select the file you downloaded from your bank. Once done, select Continue.
  5. Select the account you want to upload the transaction into from the Which account are these transactions from? dropdown. Then, click Continue.
  6. Follow the steps on the screen to match the columns in your file with the right fields in QuickBooks. Then, click Continue.
  7. Tick the transaction you like to import, then Continue, and click Yes.
  8.  Once everything is settled, click Done.
