Question

I see transactions on my bank's portal that are not in QBO. My bank feed is active and other current trans are in the feed. Where are these other transactions?

Let's manually perform an update so your connected account refreshes its connection with QuickBooks and downloads all your transactions accordingly, valagahirdh. We'll help you go through the process below.

 

Before we start, can you share the name of your bank or any error messages you've encountered? This is to check for any ongoing issues and help us provide the appropriate fix.

 

Your financial institution may be performing system maintenance, or there may be notifications on their website that need your attention. That's why your linked account isn't downloading some of your transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

To do a manual update, here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
  2. In the Banking or Bank transactions tab, select the blue tile for your linked checkbook account.
  3. Click the Update button. 

 

After that, sign in to your bank's website. This is to check your account page for messages or alerts that need your attention.

Once you obtain all your latest available transactions, review and categorize them. Then, reconcile your accounts so they always match your monthly statements.
