Question

I tracked my miles for medical travel for 2023. When I imported the csv file from MileIQ, it disregarded the whole report as personal. Any suggestions?

Thanks for posting in the Community, @jvlevesque. Let me provide the steps in tracking miles categorized as personal.

When creating the transaction under the Mileage tab, select Personal. By doing this, it will ensure that when we import the transactions from MileIQ, they will show up as personal.

Here's how:

  1. Login to your QBSE account.
  2. On the left panel, select Miles
  3. On the Mileage page, click the specific transaction, then choose the Personal option.
  4. Once done, select Save

After doing this try to import again and see if it doesn't disregard the report as personal.

In addition, I've included this article for your reference to learn how to use the QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app to track your business miles automatically: Automatically track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please click the Reply button for any additional assistance needed tracking your mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed. I'll be on the lookout. Stay safe.
