I try to add deposit to my checking account but only get a vender list and not acustomer list.

I'll make sure you can add a deposit with a customer list. 

Here's how:

1. Go to + New, then choose Bank deposit.
2. From the Account ▼ drop-down, choose the bank account you want to add the money into.
3. From the Received money from ▼ drop-down, choose the customer's name.
4. If there is none, click on Add new, enter the customer's name, then choose Customer from the Type.
5. Click on Save.
6. Choose the correct account and the payment method.
7. Click on Save and Close.

You can also manage your bank deposits to check other options for bank deposits.
