I used to record my stock gifts directly into my investment accounts as a deposit. Seems QB has changed this. How can I record it now?

Thank you for visiting us here @ Community, @marci6. Allow me to share some information about your concern with the deposit.

In the Deposit section, under the account tab, we are unable to select an investment account. However, you can categorize the deposited amount by heading add funds under the account.

To move money from one account to another account, you’ll have to set up a clearing account, here’s how:
Sign in to your QuickBooks account and go to Accounting on the left-side panel.

1. Select Chart of Accounts.
2. On the Chart of Accounts screen, click the New tab.
3. Choose Bank for the Account Type. You may choose any detail type you want for your clearing account.
4. Type in the Name for the clearing account.
5. Make sure you do not type in any amount on the balance before clicking Save and Close.
