I've been using QB SE as a sole propietor but just formed a single-member PLLC. How do I notate a capital contribution from my personal to new business checking account?

I'm here to help you record your personal sole proprietor's contribution. Since QBSE doesn't have a chart of accounts where you can set up equity accounts, you'll want to record it as personal withdrawal to track the transaction accordingly.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Transactions.
  2. Tap Add transaction. Then, enter other transaction info.
  3. Select Personal Withdrawal as your Category.
  4. Click Save. See the image below.
