Question

I've gotten my accounts squared away and it matches my bank account, but not QB but accountant doesn't know how to reset reconciliation.

In the past when I've spent all these hours fixing things, the next day it was messed up again. I really need to be able to reconcile from the point the account got messed up. Today I spent time in the register and it looks close to perfect. I'm afraid to go to sleep and see 8 hours of work undone.

Thank you for sharing your concern here in the Community, Drake.

It's my priority to help you check your account or register so you can proceed with your reconciliation.

Uncategorized entries or newly added and deleted transactions may affect the issue you're having. For now, please review your pending transactions from the Banking page so you can add or categorize them to match your Bank and QuickBooks Balances. You can open this link as your reference: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Alternatively, you can review your Audit Log report to see the changes made to your account that may affect your bank balances.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Audit Log.
  2. Tap on Filter.
  3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  4. Hit Apply.
  5. Review the changes or activities made to your account.

Aside from that, you may share screenshots of the issue so I can check it here in this thread more closely. If you feel uncomfortable, you can always connect with our Support Team for further assistance. A live representative can look into your account securely and isolate this issue for you.

Once everything is in place, you're now ready to proceed with your reconciliation.

If you have any other questions about your account's register or reconciliation, please let me know by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Keep safe!
