I'm here to provide information about your concern, @pfantini33-gmail.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can only change the class of the manually entered, already matched or added transactions one by one. The option to bulk reclassify them is unavailable. To change the class of the transaction, you can follow these steps:
In your QBO account, select the Gear icon.
Then, choose Chart of Accounts.
Look for the account where the transactions you want to reclassify is allocated.
Next, click View register.
From there, open each of the transactions to change the class.
However, if these are downloaded transactions from your bank, you can change the class by batch on the Banking page. Here's how:
Select the Banking menu on the left pane.
Then, click the Banking tab.
Choose the bank where the transactions are allocated.
Next, go to the For Review tab.
Check the boxes for each transaction you want to change.
From the Batch actions drop-down menu, choose Modify Selected.
Use the fields in the Modify Selected dialogue to specify the class.
In QBO, you can pull up reports by class to easily monitor each segment in your business that is represented by a class.
Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other questions about changing the class in QBO. I'd be happy to assist you further. Keep safe always.
