I go to App Transactions, choose Shopify, select the date how far back I want to go, and then it asks for shop address. That's where it fails. It does not recognize the shop and no data is imported. Where and how do I find out the exact syntax of the shop so the routine can proceed to step 3 to import the data ?

Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser.

I understand the importance of importing transactions from Shopify to QuickBooks Online (QBO), iwan. I'm here to share insights about this.

It could be that the store address search is incorrect. This is why, the shop is not recognized. Ensure you're using the correct URL when logging into your Shopify.

Once logged in, it should display something similar to STORENAME.myshopify.com/admin. Let's remove the admin or anything after it so you are left with STORENAME.myshopify.com.

I've added a screenshot for your reference.

Additionally, I'll leave this resource to help you better understand the process of importing data in QBO: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

Please keep me posted anytime if you require further assistance in importing your transactions. I'm always here to help.  Take care and stay safe!

Yes, I did consider that possibility. I checked the store url and I saw it as the-potion-studio.myshopify.com

So I used the-potion-studio

All it does is log me into the store. That's all. I can see transactions etc, but no importing occurs and QBO does not advance to Step 3 Configuration. How can I force it to grab the data and bring it into QBO ?

Try another approach using a third-party tool, Skyvia. It’s a cloud-based platform designed to integrate data across multiple sources. It supports Shopify and Quickbooks as well.

To complete your task, you need to connect Shopify and Quickbooks to the platform and set up synchronization. This will help you avoid the problem of recognizing the shop by the first method.
