I want to use quickbooks on my laptop and desktop and i can not get it to work on my laptop

I have been using quickbooks on my desktop and would like to take my laptop with me, and have use of quickbooks on the laptop. I have it installed and I can't get it to work? any suggestions thanks

You must have the server app installed, then enable multi user mode. Log off of one computer and access the shared file from the second. If you plan on using your laptop when away from the office install the server app on your laptop.

Can you give more information on what you are trying and in error messages that appear when you "can't get it to work"?

I have closed the desktop and try to log on to the laptop and it says quickbooks couldnt find the file, look under shared files and try again. I am clicking on the shared file and thats the answer I get.

under shared files it shows files from both the laptop and desktop
