Hi there.

Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community. I understand the importance of managing your bank connections effectively. If you’re having trouble unlinking your bank account from QuickBooks Online (QBO) because you can't find the "tile" or other links mentioned in the instructions, let’s walk through an alternative method to disconnect the bank account:

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  2. Choose the tile for the bank account.
  3. Click the pencil icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Hit the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.
  5. Click Save and Close.

If your bank account tiles are missing, try locating the account through the Chart of Accounts:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find the bank account you want to disconnect.
  4. Click on the View register or Account history in the Action column.
  5. Click on Edit (pencil icon) in the top right corner of the register page.
  6. In the top right corner of the bank details, look for a checkbox that says Disconnect this account on save.
  7. Save changes.

Additionally, you can also learn how to make an account inactive on your chart of accounts in QuickBooks Online.
