We understand the importance of importing your transactions into QuickBooks using the CSV format, jfscott. Let me provide details on how we can fix it.

Beforehand, do you encounter any error messages when importing the CSV file?

If you see an error message when you upload, do the following:

  • Remove any zeros (0) from the file. Leave those cells blank.
  • Correct any transactions that display numbers in the Description column.
  • Remove the word amount if it appears in the Credit or Debit column header.
  • Make sure the dates are in one format. We recommend you use dd/mm/yyyy.
  • Mac users must save the file as a Windows CSV file.
  • Some banks add the day of the week in the Date column (for example, 20/11/2018 TUE). You need to remove the day of the week. To correct this, split the date and the day of the week in two separate columns.

Once the CSV file meets the do's and don'ts above, you can import your transactions again.

If you've already done with the troubleshooting process and the issue continues, I suggest contacting our Live Support Team. That way, they can check your account securely and investigate further to fix the issue.
