importing new transactions from the bank

I'm here to help you figure this out.

Bank Feed modes available in QuickBooks Desktop handle and display transactions differently in your bank feed. You'll want to check the setup to see if it may be changed. Here's an article for your reference: Switch between banking modes.

If they're already imported, and you see duplicate transactions, you can exclude them. Let me show you how.

To remove duplicates in register mode:

1. Go to the Banking menu and select Bank Feeds, then Bank Feeds Center.
2. Find and select the statement from the Items Received From Financial Institution section. Then select View.
3. Match the appropriate transactions. Select Done to match them.
4. Select Yes in the Not Finished Matching screen. You'll return to the Online Banking Center.
5. Find and select the same statement from the Items Received From Financial Institution section. 
6. Select Delete.

To remove duplicates in side-by-Side mode:

1. Go to the Banking menu, select Bank Feeds, then Bank Feeds Center.
2. In the Items Reviewed section, select the account with the transactions you want to remove.
3. Select Items to Delete.
4. Select the transactions you want to delete.
5. Select Delete Selected. Then select Yes to confirm.

   Tip: If you're already matched your statement, you can select Select all downloaded transactions older than and set the date to the last statement end date. Then select Delete Selected. You may need to switch to Register mode to delete everything.

Also, check with your bank if they have changed with the setup or error in QuickBooks. This way, old transactions will not be included in your next import.
