Question

In banking, click on a downloaded transaction to see it before adding, then click details to see the sales receipt. QB hangs! Happening to others?

QB did not used to hang. This is a new behavior today.

Sometimes, the stored cache can cause unusual browser behavior. Let's perform some basic troubleshooting procedures to verify if you're experiencing a browser-related issue.

 

Let's start by opening your QBO company using an incognito or private window. Here are the shortcut keys to open it:

 

  • Safari: Command + Option + P
  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P

 

 

After that, if you can navigate the banking page and add the transactions once more with no issue, then you'll have to clear your browser’s cache regularly. This will keep QBO running faster.

 

 

You can also use other support browsers if the issue persists. Otherwise, I suggest you contact Customer Support so they can investigate it further and give you the best possible solution.

Thank you for trying.  I tried the private window in Safari but got the same behavior.  Previously I had also tried Google Chrome and Firefox and got the same behavior.  I quit and re-launched all 3 browsers and got the same behavior.  I shut down and re-started my laptop and still got the same behavior in all 3 browsers.  I can get to the sales receipt if I add the downloaded transaction from the banking feed into the account, then go to the account, open the transaction, and then open the sales receipt, but that is a multi-step process.  I used to be able to opening the transaction right in the banking feed, click Details to open the sales receipt, correct the sales receipt, then save-and-add the transaction, which is much faster.  I need to be able to do that again.  I couldn't find a way to get to Customer Support other than writing here.  The chat support is not available until Monday morning and anyway, this would be tedious as a chat...I'd rather email back and forth or handle it here.  Thank you!
