Question

In one of my bank accounts, the real transactions are no longer downloading to QBO. I have disconnected and reconnected the account but it continues. Help, please!

I'll outline a couple of handy details to help you fix banking concerns in QuickBooks, @megan55.

The transactions that will be downloaded in QuickBooks will depend on the data shared by your bank.

May I know the name of your financial institution? This way, I can collate enough resources and help us isolate the issue.

In the meantime, we can perform a manual update to download entries from your bank. This helps refresh the connection between your bank and QuickBooks so transactions will show up.

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2. From the Banking menu, choose Banking.
  3. Click the Update button on the right-hand side of the screen.

If the issue persists, I suggest uploading your bank transaction manually to keep your books and records updated.

  1. Sign in to your bank's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions for how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer.
  3. Review the date range for the download.
  4. Download your transactions and save the file somewhere you can easily locate them.

After that, you're now ready to upload them to QuickBooks Online.

Once your banking entries are available on the Banking page, you need to examine and put them in the correct accounts. For more details, you may check out this resource: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
