Question

Is anybody having issues recording payments received in foreign currencies? QuickBooks started mixing foreign currency with USD in my account, so balances are off.

It worked fine up to a few days ago. Now, I can't post receipts in the same currency the invoice was issued so my accounts are all off.

Hi there, @userbilling7. Let's work together to ensure that the payments received in foreign currencies are recorded accurately in the same currency as the invoices issued.

Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. Firstly, open your QuickBooks account in a private window to rule out browser-related issues.

To do this, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

Afterward, return to your regular browser, then clear your cache once you can record the payments accurately and successfully. The accumulated cache and cookies in the system can become outdated or corrupted, leading to unexpected behaviors. You can also switch to other installed supported browsers, which is a good alternative.

If the issue continues after following all the troubleshooting steps, I recommend contacting our technical support. They have all the specialized tools necessary to fix this issue, and they can refer this to our engineering team if needed.

Furthermore, I'll add some resources to learn more about how to manage invoices and customer payments for future use:
