Question

Is anyone else having problems - when I enter expenses or checks; sometimes they save and show in the reconciliation or the account and sometimes they don't.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, lorisnyder40. I'll be sharing details on why entries are missing when reconciling an account in QuickBooks Online. I'll also ensure that all expenses and checks will appear accurately on the reconciliation.

There are some reasons why the transactions are missing on the reconciliation page. This might be because the transactions were deleted, an incorrect bank account, an incorrect date, and the entries were reconciled on the previous dates. To verify this, I suggest visiting the Register Account page, which will provide a list of saved transactions as well as the details.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon ⚙ and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to review. Then, choose View register in the Action column.
  3. Select the Filter icon, then select the filters you want to apply. You can use the Find field to search by amount, reference number, or memo.
  4. Click Apply and locate the transactions.

Additionally, you may also open this article for further troubleshooting methods on how to resolve missing transactions in your reconciliation: Fix issues for accounts you've reconciled in the past in QuickBooks Online.
