Question

Is anyone else having transactions mysteriously (i.e. not by us) moved into Excluded?

Looks like about 3/4 of our 2020 transactions are now Excluded. I un-excluded them, but now they're in Excluded again. Any thoughts?

I appreciate the details a lot, @earplug1234.

You can review your audit log. This way, you'll know if a standard or admin user has excluded the three transactions on the Banking page.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Gear.
  2. Select Audit log under Tools.
  3. Click Filter and then set:
    Date: All dates
    User: All Users
    Events: Show all events
  4. Choose Apply.

If the issue persists, the browser's cache may have caused QuickBooks Online to get this unexpected behavior. I'd suggest isolating this hurdle via incognito/private browsing mode to see if this a browser-related issue.

You can press CTRL + Shift for Chrome and CTRL Shift for Mozilla.

If the transactions are now back in the For Review tab, clear your regular browser's cache to boost its browsing performance. The browser will be refreshed and load new data from QuickBooks.

Alternatively, you can use other supported browsers like Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

In case you're able to see error messages on the banking page, see this article for specific fixes: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know how it goes. I'm always here to help keep you up and running your transactions in QuickBooks.
