Question

Is anyone having a difficult time linking Bank of America business checking? We have been trying, it says connecting for 5 minutes and the screen goes back again? Thanks

I can help you link your Bank of America account, @monalounge

Did you get a specific banking error? A browser-related issue might cause the connection incapability between QuickBooks and Bank of America (BOA).

On the other hand, you can log in to your BOA business checking website to see relevant notifications if they have ongoing system maintenance. This may be why it will show you the prompt connecting for 5 minutes, and the screen goes back again.

Meanwhile, I suggest following these directions to fix common connectivity errors:

  1. Let's log in to qbo.intuit.com using a private browser since it doesn't store any history or files. From there, link your BOA business checking.
  2. If you link your BOA business checking account seamlessly, let's switch back to your regular browser to clear its cache.
  3. Logging in QBO to other supported browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox can also help us to avoid any browser-related issues.

Once everything looks good, check out this article about categorizing transactions in QuickBooks Online: Categorize and match online banking transactions.

Reach out to me if you need more assistance or update me how it goes after following the steps above. I'm always here to help. Thanks for coming to the Community, and keep safe!

@monalounge

Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank or connection.
