Question

Is anyone having problems with the "+ New" or "New Transaction" buttons not working in QBOL?

I have to log out of Chrome between each transaction.  I always use Chrome.  Am not getting a pop-up error, and even added QBOL to my permitted pop-ups just in case.

Let's go over some troubleshooting steps to get the New button working properly, joshua-d-wms.

Like any web-based application, the online program stores cache files to speed up the loading of images and repetitive data. When there’s too much stored data, it can cause issues such as buttons not working correctly or partially loaded webpages.

To resolve the issue, let's access QuickBooks Online through a private window or via incognito mode. This type of browsing session doesn't use the existing cache data and runs a lot faster. From there, use the New button to create a transaction. The following are the shortcut keys for each browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the New button works smoothly in private browsing, let's clear your regular browser's cache and cookies to improve its overall performance. You can switch to other browsers to test if the one you're using is the issue.
