Is it normal to experience an update that takes hours? My bank is Citizens.

I had an error window that said I need to reconnect to my bank account. Clicking the link provided, sent my app into an update that's taking hours to complete. Is that normal?

Hi @tooraloorocheste,

 

An update for your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app shouldn't take that long.

 

I have a few things to share that you can do on your end to get this sorted out.

 

  1. The first thing you can do is close, then restart the app. 
  2. Use a different connection. (WiFi if you're using mobile data, or vice versa.)
  3. Clear app data.
    • Go to your device's Settings.
    • Select Apps (this varies by device).
    • Choose the QuickBooks app from the list.
    • Tap Storage.
    • Hit Clear data.
  4. Power down, and restart your device.
  5. Uinstall and reinstall the app.
