INV-101657 says editing a recurring transaction unchecks the process credit card button, and there is no workaround. Major problem for anyone trying to use the scheduled transaction feature and QuickBooks Payaments

Hello there, scott.

Having accurate scheduled transactions in QuickBooks Online is essential. Let me provide insights on how the recurring feature works and ensure that you receive updated information on the issue of unchecking the process credit card button while handling recurring transactions.

Please know that the INV-101657 you've mentioned is still a known or ongoing issue. Since you provided this, it seems you already contacted our support team and a ticket has been raised. With this, rest assured that you're already added to the list of affected users and you'll receive updates through email once the issue is resolved. Also, you may reach out to our support again if you need more details about the case.

For now, you can manually create and send an invoice in QuickBooks and enable the "Online Payments" option. This allows you to select a specific payment method, and your customer may then click the "Review and Pay" button to pay for the entry.

Here's how:

  1. You can go to the Invoice page or you can also open an existing entry.
  2. Click the Edit link beside the Online payments.
  3. You'll be routed to the Edit payment methods section.
  4. Checkmark the tick box for the specific method or as an online payment option.
  5. Click OK to save the changes.

In case you need details on how the Sales page gives you a great at-a-glance view of the status of all your sales entries like open and paid invoices, you can read this article: View sales transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted if you have any additional questions about managing recurring transactions in QBO. I'll be right here to help further, scott. Stay safe!
