Question

Is there a reason why my bank transactions aren't showing up anywhere and I've been on quickbooks for a week?

Ive gone through the help tutorial and I have looked everywhere in quick books for the transactions and have not been able to find them. My accounts are linked and they have the correct amounts in them.

Hello there, finch-brooks-van.

I appreciate what you've done so far and I'm here to help you bring your transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

For most financial institutions, QuickBooks automatically downloads your transaction data when you've connected a bank account.

We can manually download your transactions as this updates all your connected bank and credit card accounts.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking at the left panel.
  2. Select Banking beside Bank Rules.
  3. On the Banking page, select Update. QuickBooks Online updates all your connected bank and credit card accounts. If you only want to update some accounts, select the unwanted ones to exclude them from the update and select Update Now.

Additionally, I'd recommend checking your bank or credit card's website if the issue is on the bank's end. For complete step-by-step guidance, check out this article: What to do if you can't find downloaded transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Once all your transactions are all in, you can also check this article to learn how to review downloaded bank and credit card transactions: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online

If you have any other concerns about banking transactions, feel free to come back to us anytime. Have a lovely day, and stay safe.
