It's good to see you here in the Community, PixelAdvanceWeb.

Yes. You can use the Mobile Deposit Service to deposit paper check to your QuickBooks Checking account.

To do this, you need to enter the check information first. Before you do so, visit this article for more information about the check deposit requirements: Use mobile check deposit with QuickBooks Checking.

To enter the check info:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online app from a mobile device.
  2. Click on Cash Flow.
  3. From QuickBooks Checking balance, choose Send Money.
  4. Select Deposit checks. If you don't see the option or if it's unavailable, it means you aren’t eligible yet.
  5. Enter the check amount. Make sure it isn’t more than the limit shown on the screen.

Once done, you may now endorse your check. Check out this link for the details.

The option for me is grayed out and says (In Research) next to it. So, how else am I supposed to deposit a paper check then?

Hi, PixelAdvanceWeb.

I appreciate you for getting back to us here in the Community. Allow me to chime in and provide information about depositing a check using a phone.

Mobile check deposit is available on IOS devices. If that option is unavailable, the system may not be eligible for this feature. You can check the requirements to make successful deposits at your convenient time.

Also, I'm adding a link that contains a breakdown of articles on how to manage the bank feeds, fix common online banking errors: Bank feeds.

Keep me posted if you have any other concerns or questions about the product. I’ll pop right back in to answer them for you. Have a good one.

QuickBooks Cash and Money by QuickBooks offers mobile check deposits, but only to those who meet certain conditions. Your QuickBooks Cash or Money by QuickBooks account must be up to date and operational. To learn more about mobile check deposit, you can visit this Page.

I feel like I keep getting the same canned response and no real help. - If I'm not eligible, then what else can I do to become eligible. The option you reference says "In Research"

Is there any update on Mobile Deposit availability? This seems to be a very basic need for any business "checking" account as many customers still use this method of payment. Without the ability to deposit a check at a physical location, mobile deposit is absolutely necessary, and without mobile deposit, keeping Quickbooks Checking makes a lot less sense. So far, no adequate answer has been provided.

Not yet. I've gotten around it by reaching out to the client and asking their permission to process the check as an ACH payment through "Receive payments" on my side of the invoice. It does take longer to process, but at least it works. - An unnecessary step for modern times. We should really have mobile deposit capabilities on a bank account that's been offered to us for business purposes.
