Question

Is there a way to rid transactions from a specific date? Started QB on 2.1.22 and bank sent transactions from 1.1.21, throwing my books off. Thanks!

I understand how important it is to keep your books accurate and up-to-date, renee_t4services. I'm here to help you handle the previous transactions.

You have the option to either exclude or permanently delete the downloaded bank data on your Banking page. I'll show you how:

Exclude your transactions:

  1. Go to the Banking menu and choose Banking.
  2. Select the For Review tab.
  3. Locate the past transactions.
  4. Once done, click on Exclude.

To learn more about the process, please see this article: Exclude a Bank Transaction you Downloaded into QuickBooks Online.

Delete your transactions:

  1. From the Banking menu, select Banking.
  2. Go to the Excluded tab.
  3. Select the previous transactions.
  4. Click on Delete

Additionally, I've included these articles that'll help you put your bank transactions into the correct accounts and ensure they match your bank or credit card statements:
