Is there an easy way to correct the Statement ending date for a reconciled account? I entered the year as 2030 instead of 2020.

Good day, nancykfulton.

I'm here to assist you regarding reconciliation.

Once we reconciled the account, the only way we can modify it is to undo it. We can either undo it manually or ask for some help from an accountant.

Accountants who are using QuickBooks Online Accountants have a tool to undo the reconciled transactions at once. For more details, please check this link: Undo your client’s reconciliations with QuickBooks Online Accountant.

You can follow these steps on how to do it manually:

  1. Go to the Accounting tab and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Locate the account and select View register
  3. Find and select the transaction you want to unreconcile.
  4. Click the box with an "R" multiple times until it's blank, then Save it.
    • R means reconciled
    • C means cleared
    • Blank will remove the transaction from the reconciliation.

Once done, you can now reconcile it again with the correct ending date. Here are some of the articles for more details:

I'll be here if you need anything else. Stay safe!

is there a possibility in QuickBooks desktop to see more than one previous reconciliation report

February 21, 2022

Hi there, fm6680.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing details about the previous reconciliation report in QuickBooks Desktop. Before that, please know that QuickBooks is constantly changing and evolving based largely on the requests of users. That, With that, I'll ensure you can send feedback so our product developers can consider adding the feature in the next updates.

You can get reports for the last 120 reconciliations in QuickBooks Desktop Premier, Accountant, and Enterprise and the Previous Reconciliation Report shows your most recent reconciliation. You can simply view one previous reconciliation report in the system so to see more than this report isn't possible. I suggest going to the Help icon and choose Send Feedback Online to submit a request about the option you need while utilizing our software. Any recommendations are sent to our engineer for consideration in future updates.

Lastly, I'm adding this article to view details on how QuickBooks Desktop provides different reports to display data from your company file or various aspects of your business: Understand reports.
