Question

Is there any way to see transaction notes at a high level? For example, if I have 25 Amazon expenses, I'd like to know what they are at a glance. Any workarounds?

I was thinking of adding to the Description along with the vendor but that seems like more info than needed. example...."Amazon: Canon Camera" Ideally, this would be a column on the Transaction page or in an expense report. This info is available with an export but would like a report inside QB Self Employed. Would also like to be able to import notes also.

I've got your back, @jcoveney279-gmai.

At this time, the option to add a Description column on the Transactions page or in a report isn't available. You'll have to export the transactions into an Excel file to view the description column.

I can see how helpful to you and your business to see transaction notes at a glance by adding a Description column on the Transactions page. For now, I suggest submitting feedback directly to our product engineers. They may look into this suggestion and consider adding back the option in the future update. To send feedback, go to the Gear icon and select Intuit Account. Then, click Feedback.

You might want to learn more about categorizing transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed. This will help you put your transactions on the correct line of your Schedule C and organize your income and expenses.
