Issues with transactions after Bank of the West acquisition by BMO Harris

Hello- Our business checking was with Bank of the West which was acquired by BMO Harris in August of this year. On our QB self-employed account, it's not showing most transactions between August 2023-Nov 2023 even though the BMO account info is what is linked. Anyone else having issues with this and know how to rectify?

I appreciate you reaching out to the Community space, jschifferns. I'd be delighted to offer insights when handling your missing transactions.

Upon reviewing my resources, I found no recent reports or cases from other users regarding a similar issue. To help you address this, I suggest manually updating your bank transactions to download any missing transactions into your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Here's how:

  1. In your QBSE account, navigate to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Bank Account.
  3. Click on the Refresh On button.

However, if these transactions aren't updated, we can manually add or import them into the program.

Furthermore, I'm including this reference to help you manage and organize your transactions into the correct accounts: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Kindly reply in the comments below if you have additional questions about bank transactions. I'm always here looking forward to your success. Have a good one.

@jschifferns

Try opening your QBSE account on any private/incognito browser. If the same error persists, use one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

I appreciate you joining the thread, @Hospice Manager. I'm here to share additional information so you can access your bank transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

If these are existing bank transactions inside your account, you'll want to refresh the bank accounts. Here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Self-Employed company.
  2. Go to the Gear icon.
  3. Select Manage accounts.
  4. Click Refresh All.

Another possible reason why you don't see them inside your company is that they've been already categorized. Inside your Transactions tab, you'll want to set it to show All types, and in the Account section, choose your bank.

If the issue remains even after following the steps, let's open your QBSE account using a private or incognito window. Doing so will help us determine if this is a browser-related issue. Depending on the browser you're using, you can use these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

After signing in, please review your transactions again. If it shows, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Otherwise, use other supported browsers to learn what browsers need for the best experience when using QuickBooks.

Moreover, you'll want to consider uploading your transactions using a CSV file into QuickBooks or adding them manually.

Additionally, here's an article to help you manage bank transactions: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know how it goes by leaving a reply below. I'll make sure to get back to you right away. Stay safe and have a good one!

Hello,

When I am trying to download transactions to my QB, QB takes me to the BMO website page and when I click on "Sign In to BMO digital banking", the page turns blank.

I reached out to BMO and they informed me that nothing was wrong with their digital banking and advised that I contact QB for this issue.

Please help
