I expect my QuickBooks app to update my transaction right away but it takes it over a day to update all new transactions, I don’t understand why.

Hi, photos-memoriesp.

When you connect your bank or credit card account to QuickBooks, transactions are automatically downloaded every night. This is why the new transactions in your QuickBooks Online account take a day to appear.

Also, some delays may happen since most financial institutions post transactions within 1 business day. You can manually update your bank connection to refresh and allow new transactions to show. I'll show you how.

Using a browser:

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Click the Banking tab.
  3. Select the bank account, then Update.
  4. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.
  5. Hit Continue to update.

Using the QuickBooks mobile app on iPhone or iPad, you can manually update by swiping down the screen. This option is currently unavailable on Android devices.

For future reference, I've included this article to ensure your transactions are in the correct accounts: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to add any details below if you have further questions about bank transactions. I'll be around to help you.
