Question

Just got a QB cash account thinking it would speed up my deposit, however the funds are sitting in the QB account and not in my bank! How do i arrange the transfer?

Worth hearing that you're using our QuickBooks Cash feature, @msjmra.

Transferring money to your QuickBooks Cash account is only a few clicks away. Happy to provide full details about it.

First off, you'll have to link your bank account so you can transfer money from your QuickBooks Cash account. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Cash Flow menu, then select Transfer money in the QuickBooks Cash section.
  2. Click Transfer in. You won't transfer money yet, we just need to start the connection.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
  4. Enter the bank's name and select a type in the Account Type field.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter your info in the Account number and Routing number fields. Then select Next.
  7. Hit Sounds good.

Once done, QuickBooks will send two small deposits to the account within the next three (3) days. Then, you get the confirmation email and come back to QuickBooks to verify the transactions.

Once everything is set up, you can now transfer the funds. Please note that it takes about 3 business days to move money into your QuickBooks Cash account. And you can transfer up to $20,000 per day with a maximum of up to $40,000 every 7 days.

Follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Cash Flow menu and select QuickBooks Cash.
  2. Choose the Transfer and pick an option to move the funds.
  3. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
  4. In the From field, choose your connected QuickBooks bank account.
  5. Select the QuickBooks Cash account in the To drop-down and type the same amount.
  6. Click Finalize transfer.

Did you know that once you've approved your Cash account, you'll receive a QuickBooks debit card in 7 to 10 business days? To learn how to withdraw and make a purchase using the card, check out the following items:
