Thanks for alerting us here, frank114. I see the need to efficiently link a credit card account to QuickBooks Online. I can share information to help you download online banking transactions to your file.

Beforehand, may I know what specific banking institution you want to integrate with QuickBooks? What error message you've received when connecting your bank? What are the steps you've performed to link the account to QuickBooks? You can also share screenshots to help us identify further and have a visual reference on your concern. Any additional information would be much appreciated.

For now, you can manually update your bank connection to help refresh its online connectivity. To do this:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account and go to Banking.
  2. Select Bank Transactions.
  3. Then, click Update.

If the same thing happens, you can check your bank's website and ensure everything is working on their end. Also, you can connect with your financial institution using their website's URL. Doing so will help you verify you're linking the correct account and listing of your financial institution. To do this:

  1. Go to Banking and select Bank Transactions. Then, click Link account.
  2. In the Connect an Account page's search field, enter your bank's URL and click Enter.
  3. Select your bank and follow the on-screen steps to integrate your account.

In case you're still unable to link your bank account, you can manually upload your bank transactions to your QBO account as a workaround. To do this, you'll need to download the entries from your bank's website in a CSV file format. Then, import these transactions once ready.

In addition to that, visit this reference to help you rectify errors when connecting banks: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Once everything's working well, you can start reviewing and categorizing them to track your account's balances. This ensures they always match your bank and credit card statements when reconciling.

I'll be looking forward to this thread and further provide help with any additional information you may have. Just leave a reply in the comments below, and I'll be sure to get you covered. Stay safe and have a good one!
