IS anybody having trouble linking a Wells Fargo bank account to Quickbook? I see the account to add and get a response from the bank, but I get a message that says "Sorry there was a problem with with the bank" and it does not add. Did not have the issue with credit cards.

I checked if there's an issue with linking the Wells Fargo account to QuickBooks Online (QBO), but I haven't found one. Don't worry, I'm here to help ensure you can connect your bank account.

 

The error received was usually caused by a data issue with the used browser. To verify, let's log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

 

Once logged in, go back and connect your Wells Fargo account again. If this works, you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different one.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting your bank to check if they have problems linking their bank to QBO.

 

After you have successfully linked your bank account, QuickBooks will automatically download 90 days of your transactions. Then, categorize your transactions to make sure they're categorized correctly.
