We are trying to link and sync our PenFed credit card to our Quickbooks Online account. It successfully connects but then only shows a savings account, not the credit card. Any tips or idea of how to resolve this would be much appreciated.

I'd like to share details to help with your questions about online banking, neotek.

There are banks that does not connect to all types of account for online banking with QBO. This can be the reason why it's only connecting the savings and not the credit card account.

If PenFed supports online banking for credit card accounts, you can follow these steps to make sure you can sync it in QBO:

  • Verify the spelling. Make sure the spelling is exactly as it appears on your bank's website.
  • Use very specific names to search for your bank. If you still can't find anything, try broader names like "Citi."
  • Enter your bank's URL into the search. For example, search for "hsbc.com." for HSBC.
  • Search for the name of the issuing bank, meaning the bank that issued your bank card. You can find the issuing bank's name on the back of your card."Chase," "HSBC," or "Bank of America" should work, but "Visa" may be too generic.

Please check out this article for more details about this: Find Your Bank or Credit Card Account When you Connect to Online Banking.

If your bank only supports other account except credit cards, you can import your transactions using a CSV file. Let me share these articles for guidance:
