Logging In For Bank Feeds

I've just upgraded to QB Desktop Premiere 2021.  When I use the new Advanced Mode Bank Feeds, I makes me login to my Intuit account first, but when I use Express of Classic it does not.  Why do I have to log into my intuit account for this and can I turn it off somehow?

Hi there, @skoz5555.

Welcome aboard to the Community. Let me help you change the bank feed connection in QuickBooks.

Switching to advanced mode requires the user to log in as the admin. To use it, please make sure you have the right access to the company file.

It may be possible that what you have is for a normal user with non-admin access which is why it's prompting to login to the Intuit account. In this case, I recommend contacting the admin to change the bank settings on your behalf.

If you're the admin, it could be that the system wasn't able to recognize the access. I recommend signing into your Intuit account through the My Company section.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Company tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Select My Company.
  3. Press Manage Your Account in the upper-right corner.
  4. Sign in to your account.
  5. Hit Continue.
  6. Follow the instructions to log in successfully.
