Merge 2 Bank accounts without duplicating transactions

Hello!

I have transactions I've imported into quickbooks but didn't connect a bank account when doing so. I now want to connect this bank account to my quickbooks account so that I can have future transactions on this account enter my books automatically.

 

Is there a way to facilitate this connection without duplicating the manually imported transactions I've already entered from this same bank account?

Hi @NOSw2, welcome to the Community! I'm here to give you some steps on how to successfully connect your bank account.

 

Since the transactions you manually imported are the same as those in your bank account, you can upload your bank feeds a day after the latest QuickBooks Online (QBO) transactions.

 

After confirming the date of your latest manually imported transaction, we can now connect your bank feeds.

 

Here's how you can do it:

 

  1. Go to Transactions.
  2. On the Bank transaction page, click Link account.
  3. Search for your bank by entering its name or URL in the search field.
  4. Enter your bank credentials and click Continue.
  5. Select the account you want to connect and choose the specific date you want to import from your bank by clicking Custom.
  6. Click Connect and Done.
