I am missing the last six months of transactions for 2024. How do I retrieve them?

You can retrieve them by downloading the transactions from your bank's website and importing this manually, @ellendef. Let me guide through this.

To begin with, most common reason for missing transactions is a connectivity issue between your bank and QuickBooks. When the connection is disrupted, data synchronization may fail, leading to missing entries.

To retrieve your missing transactions for 2024 and upload them into QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), start by downloading the transactions from your bank's website. It's better to download them as a CSV file for compatibility. Once you have the file lets upload this into your QBSE account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Click Import transactions.

  3. Select Import older transactions for the account you want to add transactions to.
  4. Choose Browse and find the file you downloaded from your bank. It's usually in your Downloads folder.
  5. Review the column headers and data. Make sure the Date, Description, and Amount columns on the CSV match the columns and order in QuickBooks. The other column headers can be in any order.
  6. Click Continue to complete the import.

If an error message appears while importing your transactions, you can visit this article on how to fix this: fix errors when you upload transactions.

After successfully importing your transactions for 2024, you can now categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
