I'll lend a hand in fixing the missing transactions when you perform the bank reconciliation. Welcome, and may you have a prosperous business.

There are several reasons why transactions may be missing from your Reconcile page. Here are some of them:

  • Some banks and credit card companies do not make transactions available for download until later in the day or the following morning.
  • Some banks will display a transaction on their website but won't download it until it posts.
  • If the missing transactions are recent, give your bank at least 24 hours to make them available.
  • Transactions appear on the For Review page but have not yet been classified or matched.
  • Transaction reconciliation in the register is done manually.

We can try to update your bank in QuickBooks to download the most recent data.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions or Banking from the left navigation menu.
  2. Select Update on the Banking page.

If you find any missing transactions, please review and categorize them. So they appear on the Reconcile page.

To see if the missing transactions were manually reconciled, you can perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Accounting > Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click the View register link for the bank account.
  3. Filter the funnel by Reconcile StatusTransaction TypePayee, and Date.
  4. Click the Apply button.
  5. Locate the transaction and look for the letter R in the Reconcile Status (indicated by a checkmark) column. This word means Reconciled.
  6. If necessary, edit the transaction and then click Save.
