Question

My account shows no transactions for Sept and Oct 2020. I've tried refreshing the connection to my bank account but nothing shows. How can I retrieve these transactions?

I'll share the steps on how you can manually import transactions in QBSE, @missmalai.

You can add transactions manually from a CSV file. Here are the easy steps:

  1. Sign in to your bank’s website.
  2. Follow your bank’s steps to download your transactions as a CSV file. This is usually a button or link on your account page.
  3. Set the date range for at least one day before the oldest transaction in the account in QuickBooks.
  4. Follow any on-screen instructions to finish the download.

After exporting transactions, import them into QBSE. Here's how.

  1. Open QBSE account in a web browser.
  2. Go to the Gear icon at the top, then select Imports.
  3. Tap Import older transactions for the account you want to add transactions to.
  4. Tick Browse and find the file you downloaded from your bank. It's usually in your Downloads folder.
  5. Open file to start the import. Review the column headers and data. Make sure the Date, Description, and Amount columns on the CSV match the columns and order in QuickBooks. The other column headers can be in any order.
  6. Click Continue to complete the import.

For details about the process, check out this guide: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
