We're glad you've reached out here with your concern, fireicehvac2021. Let me share insights about your bank and QuickBooks balance discrepancies.

When managing bank feeds in your online account, you'll want to review whether these balances are always matched. We recommend reconciling your account at least once a month to ensure the accuracy of your books. Also, your bank balance refers to the actual balance of your bank account as of the last update from the bank feed. On the other hand, the QuickBooks balance represents the total balance of all bank transactions you've added or matched in QuickBooks.

Thus, there are some potential explanations for why these balances may not match:

  • Outstanding transactions
  • New transactions for a connected account
  • Duplicate transactions
  • Edited or deleted transactions
  • Credit card (liability) account

Additionally, you'll want to visit this guide to help you review your banking transactions before the reconciliation process: Fix issues for accounts you've reconciled in the past in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, to help you organize your accounts and ensure these match your bank and credit card transactions, you can categorize and match these entries.

We'll be around in this thread if you have additional questions when managing your accounts. Feel free to let us know in the comments below. Have a good one!
