Question

My bank balance matches the register, the ending balance does not match where it is next to the reconcile button. I have reconciles and it is right on.

Here are possible reasons why the ending balances don't match:

  • An incorrect ending balance at the start of the reconciliation.
  • There are missing or duplicate transactions in QuickBooks.

To fix this, ensure to review the opening and beginning balances. When you know they're accurate, the next step is to check the ending balance from your bank statement. If it is incorrect, make the necessary modification.

Thank you for your response, I reconciled my account and was not aware you have to wait overnight got the updates. The next morning when I opened up my account it was all balanced out.
