Question

My bank transactions are not downloading into QB. My QB is connected to my bank account because it does show the correct bank balance. How can I correct this?

There was recently an issue with my bank connecting to QB at all for a few weeks, so I'm wondering if it wasn't resolved completely.

I'll help you bring your transactions into QuickBooks Online, cheese.

May I know the name of your bank account and the issue that you've encountered? Adding these details will investigate the cause of this.

In the meantime, let's access your QuickBooks Online account via a private window. This is a good place to determine if this is a browser-related issue. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once logged in, check if the bank transactions show. If so, let's clear the browser's cache to ensure the program performs efficiently. Otherwise, you can use other supported browsers. They also provide the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend updating your bank manually to show and bring the transactions into QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Bookkeeping menu and then select Transactions
  2. Choose Bank transactions.
  3. Select Update.

In case the transactions are still missing, the issue may be on the bank’s end. I'm adding these articles for the steps you can take to fix the connection:

You can also manually upload the transactions into the program

Additionally, I've added these articles that'll help you review downloaded bank and credit card transactions and put them in the correct accounts:
