Help has arrived, @Sammi4. I'll take care of this query about banking so you’ll be able to sync data in QuickBooks Online.

Our system fetches the latest data from the bank every night around 10 PM PT. For most banks, transactions are usually available for QuickBooks to download the day after they are posted to the bank's website. Some may take a little longer, depending on the financial institution's discretion.

I'd also like to know the name of the bank account in question. This way, I can provide you with the appropriate steps to take and resolve this issue.

Meanwhile, if your bank transactions aren't downloaded automatically, the first option is to use the Update button to sync bank transactions into the system automatically.

The second option is to manually upload them using a CSV file. The steps below will walk you through the process:

  1. From the Transactions tab, select Banking.
  2. In the Link account drop-down, select Upload from file.
  3. Click the Drag and drop or select files button.
  4. Select the CSV file and then open.
  5. In the QuickBooks account dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks.
  7. Select the transactions
  8. Select Yes.
  9. Click Lets go.

TD Bank. When I use “update” it does it but just says VISA and not the name of the store/vendor like it did before.

Thanks for adding more details about your bank, @Sammi4. As an additional insight, QuickBooks will only depend on the information sent to us from your financial institution.

If you're uncertain of the transactions that are coming in, you may take a look at your statement and review them.

Moreover, you can contact your bank to help you check each transaction and modify the bank detail.

When everything is corrected, you can follow the steps to categorize and review your transactions from the Banking page.

Let me know if you have follow-up questions or additional concerns. I'm always around to help you again.
