Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue, kathleen-calabco.

There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources that cause some unusual responses to your browser. To isolate this, try logging into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in a private window (incognito).

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari)

Once signed in, you can double-check if you're still getting clearing circles. If not, and you're able to clear your checks, return to your default browser clear your browser's cache to speed up the loading process. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. However, if the issue persists, try switching to a different browser.

You'll also want to check your screen display if in case you're still not seeing your transactions. Please read this article for more information: Unable To See the entire Page in QuickBooks Online.
